Keyspiration

Just like my pony phase that never went away (yes, mom and dad...I still want a pony a real pony) I am still obsessed with keys. Of course Pintrest has given me a whole new forum for finding some keyspiration and I naturally have my Keys Board, full of all things keys. This morning my SW, Sara, sent me a link for an iphone case that I just might have to purchase if I ever trade in my failing blackberry for an upgrade.

And these. I can hardly keep my wallet in my purse. I love them so much. My love of flats coupled with keys...a harmonious style for my feetsies. Now if only the faking it until making it has worked and I had some expendable income to purchase these lovelies.For now, I will pin and lust.

The Key to Your Seat

I was trying to do some major catch up on StyleMePretty the other day and I came across this awesome idea for directing guests to their seats at a wedding:



 The rustic tags and ribbon are not really my style but I adore this idea. Check out the entire wedding here. 

The Keys To Potential

I love getting up on the weekend and snuggling up with a cup of coffee or tea. I also really like the idea of having a mismatched coffee mugs. I just am not sure I see the fun, or point, of having a matching set of coffee mugs. So I pick up mugs along my way that I like. So far a few of my favorites are:

• A wizard of Oz mug my mom bought me when we were driving through Kansas together on the way back  from my Texas adventure one summer.
• A big pink Starbucks mug that was on sale after valentine's day. Sadly it had this cute ceramic heart on a ribbon that was tied to the handle and it somehow disappeared.
• Kendal brought me great mug from San Francisco and it resides at my office so I can have a reusable mug to stay green.

But I think this one would be a great additional to my started collection:

Stamping Me Crazy

A few weekends ago I was down in Charlottesville for the PBR (yes, bull riding that's right and more about that later) but I went into a store called "Rock Paper Scissors" and saw some Japanese masking tape. The practical non-crafty part of me said not to buy it. So we left empty handed. Naturally now I have thought of 900 uses for the printed blue tape. So I have been on the hunt. Well not only did I find some amazing online stores to buy Japanese tape (I am still narrowing down my choices) but I also found some stamps that (for obvious reasons) I am lusting over. Cutetape has some seriously temping items to purchase, but right now these key stamps are high on my list. 

The Key To A Home

I was sent this great idea from a friend who saw this on apartment therapy.

I love this idea! Unfortunately I don't really have keys from my previous residences. In fact I would say the world of technology and protocol has ruined my ability to take on this little project. Here are my past living arrangements and the lack of keys:

• The parentals casa. (Still have a key to the house which is always a nice reminder that my parents always welcome me home)
• Le Maison De ADPi. No such thing as a key. We had these little plastic cards that had pictures of keys on them that unlocked the front door. We also had to give those back when we moved out of the house.
• Houston hot house. Pretty sure we made that key without asking, but were nice enough to give it back when I left at the end of my few months there.
• Virginia humble beginnings abode. There was a key fob for building entry and then a real key to the front door. They inventoried those keys like vultures. So no key.
• DuPont Roach Hut. Not sure if I will get to keep the key, doubtful.

I do have a growing license plate collection: Idaho, Virginia and I am sure some day DC. I don't have a WA state one since I managed to avoid registering and licensing my car there, but in time I know I will have one for the collection. Maybe I can do something cute with my hubby (whoever he is) and our collected license plates.

All Keyed Up

I love these ideas for displaying keys and am going to have to try some of these at some point. The boxes are really neat, but I would do mine in black frames (naturally!) and I LOVE the idea of getting thick satin ribbon and hanging big keys at different lengths. If I had an outdoor area you better bet I would have a key-chime to make some zen sounds! Send me any other Keyspriation any of you have come across!

Browsing anthro tonight after being inspired to look through their housewares from my sister's recent blog post. Well (un)unfortunately I found this:

Keys to My Heart

As most of you have heard/seen by now, I am in love with keys. I found these cupcakes the other day on the Knot. They are darling!

Has anyone else seen any fabulous key references lately?
